July 21, 2008 : Transformers Busts: Bringing Life to the Static
The design and development team are wrapping up the last couple of Transformers busts for 2008 and without revealing who they are, all I can say is that these 2 are leaders in the fan favorites category. This final piece for the year marks the 31st bust in the series and we at DST would like to thank all the fans and retailers for your support of the line. Thirty one pieces is definitely a milestone for any product line, let alone high end collectible busts.
To mark this milestone we would like to take time to discuss some of the design decisions in designing the Transformers busts and some features we incorporated in up in coming busts.
: Scanning for Life Forms…
I got this question forwarded to me by DSTChris and I thought everyone would enjoy hearing the answer.
I’m sure you’ve gotten a million questions on these already, so perhaps you already have a FAQ sheet or something with more detail that compares and contrasts the Medical and Science Tricorders?
I’m not sure which one to pre-order, so I’m looking for differences.
-Kenneth
Excellent question, Kenneth!
We’re releasing two Tricorders - the standard Science version available in stores everywhere and the Entertainment Earth exclusive Medical Tricorder. Both include removable scanners (different ones for each) and features different sound effects and voice clips. The screens will also feature different graphics, which I dug up to include below. Hope that answers your question!
You can also pre-order your Medical Tricorder from Entertainment Earth by clicking here.
: Puppet Angel Photoshoot!
Since this is one creepy looking figure (it’s life sized!) I’ve been having a lot of fun with the puppet around the office! First it scares the pants off of me… Someone slyly left it in my cubicle facing out. Creepy! THEN it shows up in corners and closets, lurking for the next victim. I can tell you there have been many shrieks coming from our office since he showed up.
