September 29, 2008 : Where the fans at?
Dear Star Wars Fans and Readers,
I just got done reading the Q&A for this week and i am so, so very disappointed in the Star Wars fans turnout for this one. As the resident Star Wars junkie (aside from DST Schaff) I am deeply worried about this. Star Wars fans are notoriously involved and passionate. I also think that Star Wars fans while passionate are also very honest and are a kinder/gentler fan, unlike the one guy who sent in a question this week. I may have to start getting on all the Star Wars boards and forums to generate some hype amongst the Fans to start getting their questions in. I have a feeling once the first is released the mail will come in dump trucks but until then we should still be dealing with more than one guy who clearly has no idea what he’s talking about (the clothing on our UQS is of the highest quality and probably nicer than anything you could buy at a department store right now). So this is my plea, If you love Star Wars, if you are excited about the line plan we have, if you can’t wait to get your hand on these UQS figures then please, start getting the word out, start asking those probing questions, and help me prove that Star Wars fans are the best kind of fans, seriously, you guys are letting the trekies take over and it’s embarrassing me.

: Love at first paint
Come to think of it, they DID look like this when I was in school. Oh, they got sent home with letters to their parents (and the make-up was not quite the same), but they were there. There was this one girl that…well, nevermind. They make other blogs for that type of story. Anyway, here is the first look at the painted Schoolgirl Dawn PVC. (more…)
: Ultimate Quarter Scale, it’s not just for Star Wars!
Hi Readers,
I have been busy with lots of little stuff lately, nothing worthy of your fanatical eyes. Until today that is… I finally got time to get started on the Ultimate Quarter Scale Spock for this month’s Previews! I photographed him a while back and I have started clipping and cleaning (see my past blogs to find out what this means) him for the ad and his many appearances on the internet.
September 26, 2008 : Ask DST Q&A #8
Ok folks, not too many Marvel or Star Wars questions (except from our new best friend Andrew!), so I decided to clean out the Miscellaneous folder. But for next month, come on you Marvel Select fans and Star Wars fans! This is YOUR Q&A so don’t let all those Star Trek nuts have all the fun.
September 20, 2008 : Looks like the cat’s out of the bag…
It’s always tricky when trying to keep upcoming projects “Top Secret.” Such was the case with our next Battlestar Galactica Minimates release - the New Caprica Minimates Box Set! (more…)
September 19, 2008 : Ask DST Q&A #7
This week it’s all about Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica! Chuck answers your questions about character selection (we get it, you like Carson!!!), likeness rights and approvals as well as the status of classic Battlestar Galactica figures! (more…)
: A piece of cake!
I know in past blogs I have gone over the process that was involved in creating the Duff from “Charm City Cakes” minimate. I wanted to share with you that we did get a great review on one of the better toy blogs out there! Michael’s Captain Toy review did a full scale evaluation on Lil’ Duff and he scored high marks in every category, especially packaging (cough cough thanks for noticing cough cough). I thought it would be nice to share some of the praise we are getting from the fan community, not to mention it’s like one of my favorite items from this year. So after you get done reading all our fantastic info maybe slide on over and check out what other sites are saying about us too, then come back here some more!
September 17, 2008 : And lo there shall come a Maul
OK, I know this is going to require photos, but I promised DSTRyan that I’d let him use the pic for his blog, so you’ll just have to see him for visuals. I got the T1 of Darth Maul and gave it a thorough review. (more…)
September 16, 2008 : Blogging about blogging, it’s like that door from the twilight zone, only someone painted it shut…
I blog. I also read blogs. I also recognize that that first sentence is actually not really a sentence at all. I am full of content today gees! So there is something so very wrong with blogging about blogging. Does it mean I hit rock bottom? Will there be some sort of Blog intervention, most likely not, but I still feel kind of like I am trapped in a blogging limbo here, oh well here it goes…
September 15, 2008 : You built a time machine….Out of a DeLorean?
I have to admit that a lot of this comic book stuff just does not do it for me. I mean it is neat and all that but it is just not my thing. I will say that one movie that I have been a fan of for years (that is not Smokey and The Bandit) is Back to the Future. How I yearned as a young boy to one day have my own DeLorean o. I am sure that more that a few of you wanted to be able to travel through time just by turning on the time circuits and getting up to 88 miles per hour. If you ask me the most awesome thing about the car was the remote control line locks. Who wouldn’t want to do awesome burnouts from outside the car? Anyway, i digress. The good news is that DST will enable you to recreate all of your BTTF fantasies in miniature. I can’t wait to get my hands on my own copy!
