The Episode 3 Anakin Skywalker glove was recently revised and, in doing so, I had to cast another copy in hard wax after my first attempt to rework the original sculpt failed. I used the original sculpt at first for the revision as I do with most pieces, but after cleaning it up with lighter fluid, the styrene that I incorporated into the sculpt had separated from the castalene. What a mess! The new sculpt has more of a rectagular shape as opposed to the cone of the first pass. My guess is that the mold release & lighter fluid combo is what freed the styrene from it’s bond, so hopefully this was a one-time incident and this version will past inspection.
