Hi. I absolutely love the Minimates line. I didn’t know where your company stood with Capcom since the second wave of Street Fighters never made it, but has there been any interest in picking up the Mega Man franchise? The only decent looking Mega Man merch has dwindled down to the extremely hard to find model imports. I think a Minimate version based on the game would be a great seller, Especially if the waves corresponded with the games. Keep making them and I’ll keep buying. Oh, and give us a Vulture and Scorpion soon. -Brandon

DSTChuck: Mega Man is pretty cool, but we have no plans right now to look into that license.

Daniel Sayre:
Hey Art Asylum, I’m a big collector of your awesome Transformers busts and I had a couple of questions on two of them.
1) What was the main reason for picking Soundblaster? He’s a pretty obscure Japanese character so obscure that your bust is the first release of the character outside of Japan!
2) What is the final color of Ratchet’s helmet? It was first solicited with a comic accurate red helmet/ white crest then “updated” to the more cartoon accurate white helmet/ silver crest but I see it’s back to the red helmet/ white crest on the DST page. Will the alternate version, whatever it is, be offered as an exclusive variant somewhere? Thanks for your time and keep up the excellent work!

DSTChuck:
1) I don’t know… I think it was a combination of a couple things. We thought he looked pretty cool and like you said there was not much merchandise for him so we hoped TF completest and fans of him would want a Soundblaster bust.
2) I believe Ratchet will come with BOTH heads and you will be able to display him how you choose. Glad you like the line, its been lots of fun for us to work on.

Brian Petersen:
Mace Windu looks INCREDIBLE, guys! You could say the likeness really “pushed me out the window.” What material is his boots made out of? I recall you commenting on the ANH Obi-Wan, saying that he’ll come with the ROTS lightsaber, but I was wondering if the ANH one will come with the ANH lightsaber as well?

DSTChuck: The boots on all the UQS will be hard plastic, we looked at more of a fabric or mix but when we discussed it with Lucas we both agreed they would look more authentic and hold up better as sculpted pieces. Glad you like the likeness, we really think the sculptors on this live have been going the extra mile to get as many of the details they can. For continuity both Kenobi’s will come with the same ROTS saber.
