April 14, 2009 : This Guy Will Eat Anything - Even Money
Slimer - painted. ’nuff said. OK, I’ll expand a bit. The sculpt has been officially approved and we moved on to the paint stage. Eddie Wires rocked on this piece and I have gotten nothing but great feedback from everyone who has seen this image in-house. I’ll keep you posted as we get further in development, but keep a space on your shelf clear because this guy is coming your way.

April 12, 2009 : Ghostbusters Minimates Behind The Scenes
My first attempt on designing Ghostbusting equipment was fairly crude. The wand and proton pack consisted of a paper tube attached by string to an old backpack while the ghost trap was a cotton swab box attached to another length of string.
Of course, this was in 1986, and I was 5 years old.

While Uriel tackled the likenesses and clothing, I set to work on creating all of the trademark gear that I had attempted to design all those years ago. (more…)
April 11, 2009 : Smile!!
OK, if it were up to me Sabretooth here would have a lot less of a grin showing. But, it’s what people expect to see and the rest of the body is exactly what I wanted, so I’m not going to pout. I’ve always been a Sabretooth fan, but when Jim Lee did his thing in X-Men, the character when from “interesting” to “cool” in my eyes. Here is the Lee look, fully painted for your enjoyment.

: Kickin’ back, counting his Midichlorians
Anyone want a sneak peek at the next project in our rotocast bank line? Here’s Jedi Master Yoda in his council chair. We’re expecting the overall piece to be 8″ with the coin slot just below the base of the neck and the plug under the chair. Stay tuned for more details, but Bill Mancuso’s sculpt turned out so great I just had to post it for y’all.
April 9, 2009 : Keep your money safe I will. Trust me you can.
Please bear in mind that the colors are not final at this point, but I wanted to show off the approved sculpt of Jedi Master Yoda sitting in his Jedi Council chair. (more…)
