Do you have any plans to make a Marvel Select Doctor Strange or Submariner?
DSTChuck: Right now I don’t think so. We’ve looked at some of the core Marvel characters for our next wave of figures but did not discuss either of those. Sorry.

Hi, since the sculpts of the last Marvel Select are really good, would you ever consider (for next year) to produce a Gladiator (sh’iar) Marvel Select figure? This character is for several collectors one of the most expected since the last action-figure of Gladiator has been produced in 1995. Otherwise, which characters will be released until the end of 2009 (or at least how much) ? Many thanks for your answer
DSTChuck: Glad you like the newest figures we have shown, we really like to think we’re getting better all the time. Sorry to say though Gladiator did not come up in our jam session either. Never say never though.

Hi, do you have any plans to release more Wolverine movie Marvel Select Figures ? Thank you
DSTChuck: We had at one time seriously considered Silver Fox and Agent Zero. But we decided that based on the refrence we had and the fact that they would come out after the movie we’d stick to Wolverine.

1st off, no idea what you are going for with the blog posts with those codes, but it’s taking a very long time to get there. 2nd, now that Hasbro has pretty much assured us that it will be a very long time before they will start making 6 inch Marvel Legends again, I’d like to re-submit my list of characters Marvel fans have been yelling for to supplement their ML collections… Juggernaut Cage Ronan Terax Classic Loki Enchantress Drax Titanium Man Apocalypse Dormammu Awesome Android Annihilus Blastaar High Evolutionary Super Skrull Classic Ultron Wrecking Crew (most can share parts) Hercules Radioactive Man Crimson Dynamo Archangel (wingspan would make him over 7 inches) I could probably keep going but you may see my point by now. There are plenty of characters that haven’t been covered by Marvel legends, or were covered inadequately and could use a do over. These characters are all taller than the average person, making a 7 inch or bigger figure fall into scale with Marvel Legends collections. I saw your all star series was predominantly made up of figures that fit this criteria. It stands to reason that if you continued along this line of thinking, those of us not currently buying Marvel Universe figures would gladly shift their funds to Marvel Select. DSTChuck: Hopefully by now you have seen what’s up with the codes. Sorry if it frustrated you but we just wanted to have some fun. We’re sorry that Marvel Legends is on break but right now we don’t have any plans to change how we determine the characters that will be in the line. We have done some figures in the past that are very much targeted to ML fans but we’ve had mixed results, BUT when we pick something that kind of fits into what we’re doing we seem to do better. We do have some larger figures coming up that would fit with the theme but its going to continue to be here and there…those big guys are very expensive to produce.

That two page spread on Marvel Select in the May Previews was FANTASTIC! Loved all the news about the upcoming Thing and Spider-man figures and news of connecting bases. Daredevil has a steeple, so will the other two pieces be part of the same roof top? Please give us more news about the THING. Will there be variants? Would love different heads to reflect Kirby and maybe a George Perez styled head with a Ben Grimm head - like when Ben had to wear a Thing suit cause Mr Fatastic “cured” him. The sneak peak of ABOMINATION was great too! Lots of talk about this over on the FWOOSH. Many were concerned that he is shown with ‘human” feet and not the three toed monster feet he normally has. This looks promising. But the best news seems to be the promise of many more figures to come - please tell us more about your plans for the very best “aliens, robots, gods, angels and demons”! Of course we’re hoping for obscure characters like Armadillo, Dragonman, Kree Sentry and! Lockjaw (though with the Pet Avengers anything is possible, eh?) Any hints as to who these may be? Could it be Ultron? Simonson armor Thor, Mimic, Belaco? Please fill the gaps in our Marvel Legends collection with some tall comic based figures like Titanium Man, WarMonger, or even Stiltman! And do you consider the Inhumans mutants?
DSTChuck: Cool glad you liked the look inside DST..Sorry to say though we were not able to find a way to connect all the figures so each base is going back to being separate. I did not see Thing in the story — do you mean Abomination?. Right now for Abomination we’ve sent a rough sculpt to Marvel for review, we’ll then be refining all that over the next month. Hopefully everyone will like the final work. Its designed by Digger and Sculpted by Gabriel Marquez, the same sculptor that did the recent Hulk piece! I think we’ve announced as far out as we can right not but I can tell you we have no plans to change the line to showcase more obscure characters. We’ve done some that might be viewed as obscure in the past and if the situation and timing come up again we’ll do it, but it’s not an overall direction for the line.

My question is about Ghostbusters. I know you make mini mates and Ghostbuster banks. Is there any chance you guys could produce some movie accurate Ghostbuster action figures from the 1984 movie in a scale similar to the Star Trek figs? I think NECA dabbled with making some figs, but that line fizzled out. It would be great to see some highly detailed movie accurate sculpts of the team as well as slimer and a really huge Stay Puft. I know I would buy them!! I think this has alot of potential. Its strange how there hasn’t been a company to really make a fantastic Ghostbusters action figure line. You could even sculpt some cool energy beams coming out of the proton packs. thanks Joseph
DSTChuck: Mattel is handling all of the action figures for Ghostbusters. It’s a great movie though and we’re excited to be doing the products we can do.

Is there any chance of you guys ever doing a Star Wars line of ships like the Star Trek line? There are so few ships from the Star Wars series that I would like to see (Super Star Destroyer would be AWESOME!), so my hopes are very slim; but hey, a man can dream.
DSTChuck: Sorry any rights to ships or anything like that are held by Hasbro.

Wish to ask a question about the Back To The Future Delorean EE Exclusive: Can you tell me if the attach points for the wheels will be white or black color plastic? Prototype shows in white but am hoping the final product will be in black. Would appreciate an answer on this. Thanks!
DSTChuck: The final product will have black plastic.
