June 23, 2010 : Little Red Gets Real!

As the “odd-jobs” graphic design here at DST, I’m sometimes called in to do unusual projects!
(You know what I mean if you’ve seen the 360 animated spins of the Ultimate Quarter Scale Star Wars Figure and the Minimate Dioramas).

And today my random skills were called in again…and this time it was for our hot mamma Femme Fatale Little Red!

Today I learned to realistically “Paint” a statue in Photoshop!

Behold: the before and after!
Can you tell the difference?

YES! The after is painstakingly “painted” in Photoshop!
Putting makeup on an image was a new experience for me.

And the hair! Oy. I ask you to please focus on the hair. Closer… CLOOOOOOSERRRRR… see all those tiny strands that make up each hair? Imagine spending HOURS doing that with the smudge tool. Then imagine the calluses on your fingers causing you to take a loooooong break.

But it was all worth it, just to bring you this little gem!  :)
