: Maximum Zombies Minimates Coming for Your Brain at NYCC!

If you plan on attending New York Comic Con this year, you may want to consider wearing a hardhat. Diamond Select Toys will have an exclusive two-pack of 2-inch Maximum Zombies Minimates for sale, and these little guys could be lurking around any corner just looking to sink their tiny zombie teeth into your (comparatively) huge brain! They even come with alternate, interchangeable heads for double the biting action. Luckily, we’ve made sure that they are contained inside of attractive, zombie-proof packaging — what you do with them when you get home is your business, but don’t say we didn’t warn you! September 28, 2011 : Firefighter Spider-Man Minimates Packaging Revealed! Only at NYCC!

If you live in the comic book universe, you can count on superheroes like Spider-Man to show up and save the day. But what if you live in the real world? Who will save you then? Luckily, there are men and women out there risking their lives to keep others safe day in and day out. They’re the ones that will come rescue you when you are trapped in a burning building or stuck inside of a twisted car wreck.  In recognition of these true everyday heroes, we present this special NYCC-exclusive 2 pack that includes a brave fireman and your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, both decked out in full firefighting gear, with NYCC 2011 printed on the back of their coats and a variety of interchangeable parts! September 27, 2011 : Join the Corps! The Deadpool Corps Descends on NYCC in a Nifty Box Set

The Deadpool Corps is getting the toy treatment for the first time in history, and it seems fitting that they’re tough-but-cute Marvel Minimates. September 26, 2011 : Calico Jack’s Pirate Raiders to Get the First Ever “Navy-Builder” Box Set

September 23, 2011 : Diamond Select Toys Reveals Minimates Panel and Signing Details for NYCC 2011

Whether you attended DST’s Minimates panel at San Diego Comic-Con or not, you need to check out their Minimates panel at New York Comic-Con! They’ll have new pictures! New news! New speakers! New animation! New clothes! (Actually, they will be wearing the same clothes.) Plus, the panel will be sandwiched by signings with Minimates designer and artist Uriel Caton at the DST booth! Here are the details:

Signing with Uriel Caton, head designer of DST’s Minimates mini-figures, and artist behind many of DST’s Minimates promotional posters. Free copies of Uriel’s Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Minimates poster will be available for signing, and the show exclusives will be available for purchase, but feel free to bring any product for him to sign. (He designs the majority of our Minimates figures, with the exception of Halo.)

“Minimates: 9 Years, 1000 Tiny Toys.” Some of the team behind the Minimates mini-figure brand will unveil upcoming products and answer your questions about the 2-inch, highly articulated toys, which were born right here in NYC! Minimates product manager Robert Yee, Art Asylum artist and designer Uriel Caton and DST Marketing Supervisor Zach Oat will share insider info about all of our current lines, including Marvel, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Halo, Universal Monsters, Minimates MAX, Pirate Raiders, Real Ghostbusters, Knight Rider, Femme Fatales, Back to the Future and more! They will then submit to a Q&A session and debut the next stop-motion animated Minimates adventure, based on Pirate Raiders! Plus, there will be a Minimates prize drawing at the end of the panel!

September 22, 2011 : The Writing is On the Wall: Marvel Neon Signs Coming from Diamond Select

You knew Diamond Select Toys made great toys and statues, but did you know they were into neon? Their Ghostbusters Logo neon sign is available now, but they’ve recently started offering neon signs based on the Marvel Universe! The official Marvel Comics logo is the first out this fall, and measures 9″ by 12″, with an adjustable base for either tabletop display or wall mounting! And it’ll be followed by Captain America’s shield sign (11.5″ in diameter) in early 2012! Pre-order them through your local comic shop today!

September 21, 2011 : Say Halo to My Little Friend! Cortana Gets her Own Minimate this Winter

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Halo — the first game, Halo: Combat Evolved, came out in November 2001 — Diamond Select Toys has announced a commemorative set of Halo Minimates! The Series 4 box set will include two-inch block figures of Cortana (with data crystal chip base), Master Chief (with his own tiny Cortana and data crystal chip), Jacob Keys and the Prophet of Truth, and will be available at specialty stores, online retailers and comic shops this winter. Each Minimate mini-figure stands two inches tall, but packs in 14 points of articulation for endless poseability. Pre-order your set today!

September 20, 2011 : Final Heralds of Galactus Minimates Box Set Line-Up Revealed!

A few months back, Toys “R” Us hosted a poll to choose who would be in their exclusive four-pack of Marvel Minimates spotlighting Galactus and his Heralds. And we are now pleased to reveal the lineup! Nova, Morg, Terrax and Galactus himself will be in the 4-pack, and each will be tricked out to the max. Nova will have a flaming flight base that connects to her fiery hair; Morg will have an axe and a flight base; Terrax will have his axe, a rock to ride on and a clear support stand; and Galactus will come with a teeny-tiny Silver Surfer accessory that hovers above his shoulder. Diamond Select is currently looking for a way to offer the two remaining characters, Airwalker and Firelord, in the regular Minimates line, but the Heralds of Galactus Box Set will be available at Toys “R” Us this winter! All of the Minimates in the set are 2 inches tall, and have 14 points of articulation.

September 19, 2011 : New York Comic-Con 2011 to Get Exclusive Minimates, Femme Fatale

Diamond Select Toys likes to think of its convention appearances as one long goodwill tour of America, bringing sneak peeks of its products and new, exclusive toys to different parts of the country. And this year’s journey, from Chicago’s C2E2 to San Diego’s Comic-Con, is now coming to an end in New York City, at the 2011 New York Comic-Con! Taking place at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan from October 13-16, the convention is the East Coast’s biggest pop-culture gathering, and in addition to our famous Minimates panel (2:45 on Saturday, in Room 1A15), this year will be the home to four very cool exclusive DST products, including the first offerings from a brand new line of Minimates!
