DSTChuck: We hope to have some KITT cars out late in 2011 or early 2012. KARR will be sold on his own as a Minimate version with a Minimate or the larger car with light and sound.

Hello, I am a big collector of all of the Minimates and just LOVE the Back to the Future sets. I talk to many on web sites like me, and we would love to see a 4 pack of the Back to the Future 2 HoverBoard Gang members with HoverBoards. This would be a very nice selling set, as many love the HoverBoards. You can see for yourself, just Search ( Back to the Future HoverBoards. Also, the 2015 Taxi Cab, or the 2015 Police Car with the 2 Officer ladys. Also, for part 3, you can do the same Delorean mold as part 1 with My Fusion and red /white and silver wheels and Marty in the western 1955 outfit with Pink,white,and blue. Hey, I just asked on the Diamond Select Facebook page about whether any Marvel Select figures from X-Men: First Class are ever gonna get made and they sent me here. So, what’s the deal? Don’t tell me you wouldn’t love an Eric figure with the jacket and helmet. Or the sweet Magneto from the end scene.

DSTChuck: Buford, based on the quick turn around the film’s producers had to work with there was no time for us to get action figures done, so when we negotiated rights to the movie line we did not get Select figures.

sup greados i know 2012 is a big year for everyone! hopefully we dont have to many movie figures if im honest regarding the marvel select line no one mentions man wolf he would be mint bruv p.s as a lifelone spiderman reader im impressed with the new venom best thing to come out of 2011 hands down. is there a chance we could see 3 to 4 spidey characters released in 2012?

DSTChuck: Raj, we’re big fans of Spider-Man over here at DST as well but I think with the movie in 2012 we’re going to pull back a little from the classic Spider-Man family for the year. However I can tell you we do have something very cool for Spidey classic in 2012.

I know you’re doing a 1:15 Scale Knight Rider that comes with a 3 3/4″ Michael Knight, and I believe I saw photos of what looked to be a 1:15 scale Munsters Koach online, my question is, Will the Koach come with a 3 3/4″ Herman? And what are the chances of a Re-Release Delorean with 3 3/4″ Marty?

DSTChuck: Nick, we’re not 100% sure right now what we are going to do with the Michael Knight figure; we showed it to gain interest. But I can tell you we have no plans for a Herman and we do not have the rights to Michael J Fox’s likeness. Sorry.

hey chuck how’s it hanging? just wondering can we expect more x-men marvel select’s in 2012??? not asking for like a bunch of them but… surely were due more as they were fantastic i.e juggs, cyke, gambit etc. also seems like it was a good year in terms of number of x-men characters released??? wasen’t sabretooth and magneto out that year? in which i mean this year so here’s hmm…. some popular choices we wanna see join colossus!!!!! nightcrawler surely the fuzzy elf has to be released i just love kurt wagner looks like a demon and yet is a pure as they come!!! would be a wonderful addition to our already stunning series. beast man hank mccoy made x-men first class the awesome movie it is!!! has to be said he could come with the danger room stuff, and a book lol!!! we’ve seen some awesome outfits for beast and the guy will be sell out regardless which costume he’s in! angel/archangel can you picture it beautiful massive wing span!!! and like a window ledge to be perched on! he would give lots of varity to what is the best toy line on the big blue and green spinny thing lmao (or planet)…. iceman would be another big hit as he would take us one step further to getting the original x-men and could come with an awesome ice slede and danger room base??? or is that tooooo much? hmmm…. that would be rockin’ tho other mutants like havok (x-factor jim lee) psylcoke, shadowcat, rogue, morph, the blob, draken, mystique, storm, magma, domino, jean gray aka pheonix (jim lee) x-23, scarlet witch, quicksilver, toad the list is endless!!!!! like i say a couple of these guys would be sell outs easy!!!

DSTChuck: Lee once again we appreciate the enthusiasm. I can tell you there will be some X-Men from MS in 2012 and something special and cool is planned for the X-Men in Select in 2012 as well.

Hi Chuck, loved the last blog as i always do good work hmmm…. you know 2012 is ganna be a MASSIVE YEAR FOR EVERYONE!!! we have a new spidey film and the avengers movie on the way. and with NYCC approaching i’m dieing to see what’s going to be unveiled!!! Rather than writing another really really long bunch of questions i figure i’ll keep it short n’ sweet lmao. So it looks like were due at least two Spider-Man related Marvel Select’s in 2012 (along with Green Goblin, Colossus and i’d put money on it we get an Avengers movie based Hulk) leaving us six spots? Plus Disney if they chip in? hmm…. would it be cheeky to ask for three Spidey related Marvel Selects? Which still leaves us three spots left (rather than the two were due from spidey) So here’s who we soooooo badly need!!! You know it, I know it hehe we need the pure awesomeness of Flash Thompson aka Venom let’s face cold hard facts its been one of the breakout comics of the year! Venom was on his last legs under Mac Gargon!!! now Venom is off the wall amazing!!! Everything is unique and eye popping!!! Just think he could come with The Project 2.0 Rebirth Base (Test Tube lol) and something to stand on, plenty of weopens WOW!!!! it will be mind blowing. My Favourite character these days, and eagerly look forward to its monthly release Hmm…. moving onto the one and only Cletus Kasady aka Carnage man i love Kasady he is one sick puppy!!! and to quote Cletus C’MON WAIT YOU WAITNG FOR MAN WERE GONNA WREAK GLOURIOUS CARNAGE ACROSS THE LAND!!! hehe as you can tell i’ve been watching the 90’s Spidey cartoon but in all seriousness he would come with interchangable hands (blades and axe) and of course a Symbiote Base with his Symbiote Trandris showing wow!!! To celebrate how much i love Kasady i’m getting a tattoo of him this month (Cover of Amazing Spider-Man #403) so by the time the next blog is done boom i’ll have my tattoo of Carnage!!! now is that love or what lol hmm…. so if we got a third Spidey Related Marvel Select it’s simple surely we get The Lizard!!! what with him in the movie etc.. plus even the most stubbern of peeps will part with there cash for Curt Conners!!! would come with the Neogeogentic Recombinator and a base lol (a sewer??? or some kind?) but man you guys would make these three guys look stunning!!!! for future prefences like most people The Scorpion, The Vulture, American Son, The Hobgoblin, Morbious, Toxin, Hybrid, Scream, Scorn, Rhino, Hammerhead and The Sandman would be big hits!!! probally think of others lol…. but my mind is surprisingly blank for once hehe also as much i love the avengers wouldn’t it be awesome for disney to do spidey stuff in terms of marvel select’s? as it would mix it up i.e avengers, spiderman and then x-men? rest assured i’ll bother you guys with even more questions this week lol regarding the x-men just to give time to prepare hehe

Hi there, Just noticed on your Q+A a mention of a 3 3/4 knight rider! When did this happen?! Scratch that question, not so much a knight rider fan, the question is, 3 3/4 figures yay! Will you be doing any other universal licenses in 3 3/4? I have an A team van thats crying out the the gang to hop inside, not to mention a ferrari daytona looking for crockett and Tubbs, a Torino looking for Starsky and Hutch and an interceptor waiting on a Mad Max (not universal I know, those last 2) While I’m here, cant help enquiring as to any situation change re: classic battlestar G and Buck Rogers figures and ships in 3 3/4? Hi. When you first released photos of the retro-universal monsters 8 inchers, it seemed that the Mummy had a likeness of Lon Chaney Jr. as Kharis (a more haggard, bulky mummy with one missing eye). The new photos, however, are of a different sculpt that looks more like Karloff. Just wondering: what made you guys change to a Karloff Mummy? Did someone decide they liked Karloff’s Imhotep better than Kharis (because I totally do, so i understand), or was it just random? And which version will ultimately end up on store shelves?

DSTChuck: Any changes that happen from the early prototype figures you see from us are subject to studio approvals or possible production issues that could come up. In this case it was studio requested changes.

hey chuck, aside from badly wanting to see an awesome flash thompson aka venom marvel select as you guys now hehe… i really really really want to see a cletus kasady aka carnage marvel select!!! seriously he would be insainley awesome as we’ve never really had an awesome kasady figure (going way back to the old spidey cartoon toys etc.) so it’s long over due! he could come with a symbiote base, interchangable hands (axe and two exteneded knife like things “blades”) tandrels showing just WOW!!!!! and what with carnage u.s.a issue one out december this would be fit the bill perfectly.

Mine is not so much as a question but rather a comment. I would still love to hear your reply. I find it questionable that you would find research numbers to justify the production of Munsters Action figures while at the same time you say that there is not enough numbers in your research to continue to stay active with the Star Trek line. While I am admittedly biased toward Trek and was with you all from the first Star Trek figure, I just have never encountered enough ferver anywhere in my travels with millions of Munster fans clamoring for more product. There are no Munster Conventions or no Munster Theme Parks. Sure they might be a small part of a horror convention or Plastic model show but I just dont get it from watching you all over the years. I would bet that a ST Salt vampire or Romulan Commander would sell more units than a Herman Munster any day. So what gives???

DSTChuck: Sorry to tell you Scott but it’s not even close, we produced some very nice numbers of the Universal Monster line last year and it sold out – those same buyers have been very excited about the Munsters line and the orders are very healthy. We’ve offered the Salt Vampire to retailers twice now, including the last time when we allowed them to order even a single figure if they wanted and the interest was not there. We’ll be keeping an eye on it and we’ll keep checking with retailers for interest but for now yes we think our resources this year were better spent on the Munsters line – sorry.

hey chuck i’m back again with the awesome truth!!! lol been a great year for marvel and diamond!!! and 2012 will be even bigger! so this year we’ve had like four x-men marvel select’s and if not for the delay of colossus we’d be up to five so my thinking is 2012 is all about spidey i think we can all agree lol so surely were due between four and six!!! surely lmao my thinking is……………….. see below psml 1) top spot guys to venom aka flash thompson man 2011 has seen venom reborn!!! no secret to say mac gargan sucked in many people’s views as venom and was on his last limbs (that being venom lol) it’s been hands down the best comic of the year and everything is just perfectly done, the style the uniqueness that is venom!!! for me were long overdue the awesomeness that is venom! my thinking is we get the project rebirth 2.0 base and plenty of weopenary and wow he’s ganna be jaw dropping!!! MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYZ!!! 2) next up is the one time presumed dead carnage aka cletus kasady when it looked like sentry killed kasady i was sooo p. oed i switched to dc comics lol!!! carnage is such an awesome character!!! and by the time u guys post this he would been my next tatttoo how’s that for love and devotion hehe…. simple and yet true…. carnage would come with interchangable hands and a symbiote base and i’m thinking tendrels sticking out simillar to the ultimate carnage we had but….
