Last week, we showed you this week’s new Marvel Select figure of Colossus, in action, and now we’re showing off the Marvel Select figure who’s headed to stores next week. The Green Goblin stands 7 inches tall with 16 points of articulation, one interchangeable pumpkin bomb hand and a removable satchel, and his detailed Goblin Glider display base has an 8.5-inch wingspan and sits perched atop a coil of smoke. Check out the gallery here, and look for him to arrive at comic shops, specialty stores and online retailers on Wednesday, February 8th!

With Super Pursuit Mode KITT out in stores now as part of Minimates Vehicles Wave 3, we’ve been thrilled to see such an overwhelmingly positive response from not only casual Knight Rider fans, but also the die-hard Knight Rider fan community at large! Nick Nugent, author of the Knight Rider Companion, took a ride out to the dry El Mirage lake bed in California — where the show’s opening sequence was filmed — and took some great photos of SPM KITT and Michael Knight against a beautiful sunset. Diamond Select Toys’ partnership with Toys “R” Us has given Marvel fans 12 waves of great Marvel Minimates, each containing exclusive characters from across the broad diaspora of the Marvel Universe. Well, this spring will bring us the lucky 13th wave, and with Avengers movie merchandise otherwise dominating the pegs, this wave will showcase the worlds of Spider-Man, Daredevil and the X-Men!

Spider-Sense Spider-Man & The Punisher
DST revisits gun-toting vigilante The Punisher for the first time since Punisher: War Zone, and goes back to his first appearance, when he took on Spider-Man! Spidey gets a removable spider-sense effect, to let him know the Punisher has him in his sights.

Daredevil & Kingpin
Crime lord The Kingpin was one of the earliest Minimates DST made in the Marvel line, so he’s long overdue for an update! This version incorporates the new big-body design used on characters like the Hulk, and comes with his old sparring partner Daredevil.

Mirage & Magma
These two New Mutants used to be trainees at the Xavier School, and they recently got the old team back together, taking an apartment in downtown San Francisco, near the mutant haven on the island nation of Utopia.

Boomer & Rictor
Cable took the training of new mutants in a different direction than Professor X, and the mutant strikeforce X-Force was known for their risky tactics, as well as their risky fashions. Our first figures of Boomer and Rictor show them in their amazing ’90s costumes.

The Avengers movie is almost upon us, and Diamond Select Toys is building up the team in their Marvel Select action figure line! First up is the Avengers’ newest recruit and the world’s greatest marksman, Hawkeye! Based on the likeness of actor Jeremy Renner, this 7-inch-scale Marvel Select figure comes with his trademark bow and arrows, and will look perfect alongside your other Select Avengers. Plus, he features 16 points of articulation, for a variety of action poses! Not shown is Hawkeye’s detailed display base — it combines with the base of our mystery movie villain figure to create a scene from the movie — and everything comes in oversized collector packaging, so you can show off the figure without opening it. But Hawkeye is only available on the specialty market, so pre-order him today through your local comic shop or favorite online retailer, and expect him to hit stores sometime in May. The next two Marvel Select figures, Colossus and the Green Goblin, are almost here (they hit stores February 8), and Diamond Select Toys want to give you a chance to own a piece of toy history! Before each toy gets put into production, DST gets sent an unpainted “test shot” of the figure, so they can see how all of the articulation works. Well, they’ve got one test shot of Colossus (with his base) and two test shots of the Green Goblin (with his glider), and they want to give them away to a few lucky winners! At the end of the summer, the world will be treated to a new Spider-Man movie, The Amazing Spider-Man, featuring a new villain, a new costume, a new Peter Parker and a new take on the wall-crawler’s origin. Diamond Select Toys has been hard at work on their toys and other merchandise for the film, and with their Marvel Select figures of Spider-Man and the Lizard now available for pre-order, we thought we’d talk to some of the people who worked on them to see what went into creating these highly detailed, 7-inch-scale toys.

One of the biggest comic events of 2011 — one whose effects are still rippling through the Marvel Universe — was “Fear Itself.” The massive Marvel Comics crossover, which saw eight mystical hammers fall into the hands of the world’s worst villains (and some of its greatest heroes, as well), gave us some amazing battles… as well as some sweet new costumes! To commemorate the Earth-shattering storyline, Diamond Select Toys is releasing two box sets of Marvel Minimates: The Worthy and The Mighty!

The Worthy box set includes Cul, The Serpent (the Asgardian god of fear); his herald Skadi (a.k.a Sin, the Red Skull’s daughter); Mokk, Breaker of Faith (formerly the Grey Gargoyle); and Angrir, Breaker of Souls (formerly the ever-lovin’ blue-eyed Thing).
