Most people will tell you that adults don’t need night lights, but we say they do — to make the night more horrifyingly spooky! Slimer

Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man
One stray thought is all it takes to choose the form of Gozer the Destructor, and in that form Gozer will lay waste to your world and everyone in it. Ghostbuster Ray Stanz thought he was making a smart move by thinking of marshmallow company mascot Mr. Stay-Puft, but Gozer manifested as a 100-foot-tall marshmallow man and made a beeline for the Ghostbusters, not caring what religious structures stood in his way. It took total protonic reversal — generated when the ‘Busters crossed their proton streams — to close the door to Gozer’s dimension and reduce the Destructor into a mass of white, fluffy goo. Featuring a Ghostbusters-themed base and a full-body light-up effect, this 7-inch statue is limited to 1,984 pieces (in honor of the film’s original release) and hand-numbered with a matching box and certificate of authenticity. Terror Dog
Standing guard on the roof of 55 Central Park West in Manhattan for nearly 60 years, the ancient creatures known as Zuul the Gatekeeper and Vinz Clortho the Keymaster awaited the return of their master, the godlike entity Gozer the Gozerian, a.k.a. The Traveller, a.k.a. The Destructor. When the time grew near, they shed their stone shells and descended into the building below to possess human hosts and bring about the end of the world at the hands of Gozer. Featuring a Ghostbusters-themed base and light-up eyes, this 7-inch limited edition statue is hand-numbered with a matching box and certificate of authenticity. Limited to 1,984 pieces. Everyone already knows that Minimates make great stocking stuffers, but what if you have a lot of Minimates, and want a fun new way to show them off to your friends and relations? Well, we’ve got an idea — why not trim the tree with them? Due to the interchangeability of Minimates, it’s actually pretty easy. Here’s how you do it:

1. Remove the Minimate’s head.
2. Clip the loop end of an ornament hook onto the exposed neck peg. (In a pinch, you can also unfold a paper clip into an S shape, and wrap the smaller end around the peg.)
3. Place the head back on, as well as the Minimate’s hat or helmet.
4. Bend the hook/clip upwards, so the hook can be seen over the Minimate’s head.
5. Place on tree.
6. Repeat.

At about $7 for a pack of two, that’s cheaper than most ornaments, and you can show your love of Marvel Comics and movies, Capcom games, Halo, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Universal Monsters, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, pirates, fireman, policemen, SCUBA diving and much more! Bustin’ may make the Ghostbusters feel good, but what makes Diamond Select Toys feel good? Taking pictures of their Real Ghostbusters Minimates! “OK, so, she’s a dog.” While not Dana Barret’s finest moment, we all fondly remember the time when the two dogs perched on either side of the steps waiting for the arrival of Gozer. Now, Diamond Select Toys is giving you the chance to recreate that moment in your home with the Ghostbusters “Terror Dog” light-up statue. Here are some in-progress pictures, including the finished Bill Mancuso sculpt, and the great job painter Jason Wires did of capturing the look of the beast. As of this writing, the factory is getting the electronics finalized, but since I was blogging anyway, I thought I’d share a shot of the light-up feature taken for review purposes. Enjoy!

Our Minimates photo contest is over, and we got a ton of great entries! Over 50 shots from around the world, featuring Marvel, Halo, Universal Monsters, Pirate Raiders, Ghostbusters, Minimates MAX, Back to the Future, Terminator and Playstation characters! While we loved them all, only one could win, and that was Les Koting of the Philippines. He’ll be getting Minimates from every line we make for his shot of Captain America and the Red Skull brawling, above! We’ll also send swag to the three runners-up — Don Brosius, Philip Mailloux and Brad Martin — but there were so many great shots we had to share some of them here!
