July 31, 2010 : Aww, Stay Puft is so cuuuuuuute….wha the? OMG! He’s on FIRE!
Sure he looks adorable.. but don’t get to close to this puffy mascot, he’s about to BLOW!
We call him the “Exploding Stay Puft”, you know, just so we’re clear who we are dealing with!
Did I mention he’s glow in the dark? Did I mention he’s a Toys R Us exclusive?
No? Well, he’s a glow in the dark Toys R Us exclusive!
Look for the Exploding Glow-in-the-dark Stay Puft in Toys R Us stores!
July 20, 2010 : A drip off the old blob
At the time of this writing, all details about what I’m doing are super secret, but if everything goes well we will be doing something with a reduced sized version of the Slimer sculpt used for the roto figure bank. This is really just a tribute to the amazing work some of the factories can do overseas. Slimer was not produced by digital scan data, so the reduction was not simply changing the output size, it took a lot of effort and they did a great job.
June 24, 2010 : Hey! Who made the Statue of Liberty so Slimy!?
Hmm… I can only think of 4 culprits… (more…)
May 28, 2010 : Are you troubled by strange noises in the middle of the night?
Do you experience feelings of dread in your basement or attic?
Have you or your family ever seen a spook, spectre or ghost?
May 26, 2010 : The Ghostbusters Gang’s All Here!
Where else but Diamond Select will you see the Possessed Janosz and the Statue of Liberty in one pack?
In Toy’s R Us, that’s where!
April 25, 2010 : I Ain’t Afraid of No Neon Ghosts
It seems like everyone is getting into neon signs these days. I’m not entirely sure when the trend kicked in, but seeing as how I have a license that was born for neon, I’m jumpin’ on the bandwagon. This little beauty is going to be about 12″ wide and roughly 15″ tall in the base. You’re seeing a prototype, so the base may look a bit different in production, but the logo is final. The coolest thing about this is that it will come with a auto voltage switch (probably not the technical term, but whatever). That means international customers and internet retailers are going to LOVE this item because, unlike most electronic items, you do NOT have to worry about different versions for different countries. Yeah, it makes it a hair more expensive to make them that way, but in the long run we think it is worth it.

January 27, 2010 : Rounding out Ghostbuster Villians with Toys R Us Series 3!
And there are some real doozies in this series!
The series includes:
Courtroom Egon and Ray facing down the “toasted” Scolari Brothers: Tony and Nunzio
Egon and the ill-fated Titanic Captain
and my absolute favorite: “World of the Psychic” Peter and Vigo the Carpathian (plus a hairless kitty!).
Oh there’s gonna be a showdown at the Ok Corral tonight!
January 8, 2010 : The Best of Ghostbusters Minimates Wave Rates High on The PKE Meter
For those who missed out on the first 2 Ghostbusters Minimates waves, fear not, the boys are back in town and back in the aisles of Toys R Us. Composed of the best 2 packs from Ghostbusters Wave 1 and 2. (with a few tweaks), returning in time to catch you up before the next Ghostbusters’ waves hit stores.
The wave consists of Library Ghost and Egon, Slimed Peter and Slimer (Clear), Ray and Staypuft and Luis Tully with Slimer. As a bonus, the Clear Slimer coming with Slimed Peter now features the floating food deco, intended but unavailable in the previous release. Also due to popular request, Louis Tully now features the Ghostbusters Movie 2 accurate uniform with corrected name tag. Stay tuned as more 2″ full torso block shaped apparitions of your favorite Ghostbusters characters continue to materialize in toy aisles.
December 22, 2009 : He’s Glowing, But He’s Got the Blues
The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man bank has been such a huge success that I decided to look into two variants. One will remain secret (for now), but the other one is here. He’s a glow-in-the-dark blue variant (similar to the Minimate we did for San Diego Comic Con). The head in the picture is the wrong one (the production piece will have the “happy” face), but the material prototype turned out so well that I had to share with you all.
