December 9, 2008 : I’m not throwing you anything!

I’ve got the whip AND the Idol. Ha!
Yes, here is the long-awaited Ultimate Quarter Scale Raiders of the Lost Ark “Classic” Indiana Jones figure. We received our first package samples and just had to tear one open and play with it. I hope you all will enjoy it as much as we did. Although truth be told, I won’t be playing with mine much, it just looks too cool standing there as a display piece. In fact, I’m starting to regret tearing open the box - it would have been great to display next to my unopened Darth Maul.

September 12, 2008 : Indy’s got some stones now.

Sankara Stones, that is (I swear, I have no idea where your minds are these days). Sadly, I cannot show any pictures at this time, but I have just seen preliminary sculpt images for the Temple of Doom bust bank. Booyah! As with Raiders of the Lost Ark, we are doing two versions. One is rough-and-tumble Indy with his whip and a clenched fist ready to take on the Thuggees, and the other is Indy with a machete in one hand and a Sankara stone in the other. Naturally the machete version is my favorite, but you all need to buy both.

July 16, 2008 : Indiana Jones Has Arrived

“I’ll throw you the whip you give me the idol…” yup, we just got in a painted idol prototype from the factory, just in time for SDCC. The factory almost has everything they need for Raiders of the Lost Ark (Classic) Indiana Jones Ultimate quarter scale figure. They should have all the approved accessories for this figure by the beginning of next week.

July 15, 2008 : Indy now alowed to go in public with clothing

The softlines portion of Raiders Indy is 100% approved and in my hands (except for the copy for the orient). Progress!!!

July 14, 2008 : Indy can now wear gloves

Indiana Jones has 2 left hands. Wait, no he doesn’t. Uh-oh, time to have a chat with the sculptors. Someone’s got some mixed-up parts.

UPDATED!

Good News: Indy’s hands are normal once again! There was a second box with the rest of the pieces needed for the figural bank and it turns out the 2nd left hand was a leftover part that was sent in the hopes we could identify it. (We couldn’t, so it is in my Box of Doom)
