December 19, 2008 : Ahnold sez: I’m BACK!
Yeah, if the title of this post is suitable for all ages it means DSTChuck edited me. That’s The Man keepin’ me down. Anyway, look what we’ve got in the works kiddies! Governor Arnold on his way to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at a new LA shopping mall. Heh, just kidding. Yup, we’re going after the T2 license and we’re using this as our calling card. Don’t worry if a few details seem off, he’s a work-in-progress. This guy came together in record time, thanks to the dedicated work of my freelance crew, so we could debut him at the Dallas Toy Fair in early October. Stay tuned for more updates!
November 1, 2008 : Ultimate Quarter Scale Update!
Dear Readers,
This is a two part blog post, I want to talk about the Ultimate Quarter Scale Box for a minute and I also want to shout out to the Star Wars fans and giggle about our Q&A this week.
October 17, 2008 : Ultimate Quarter Scale Darth Maul; Ultimately finished.
Dear Readers,
I am not sure how many of you guys are actually here every day reading and keeping up with the new UQS line of Star Wars figures, but I am going to imagine it’s the first thing you do every morning before brushing your teeth. I will also picture all of you in bantha slippers and Jedi bath Robes, okay? Early this week you may have read about finishing up the packaging and having some issues with it. You may also remember me mentioning a bit of a surprise and leaving a big blank out of the posted picture as to keep you on the edge of your seat. Well sit on the edge no longer!!!
October 1, 2008 : A Glimpse into the Next Generation: Part 1
Since our pictures were first put up of the initial Galaxy Class protoype, we were swamped with requests of more in progress reports of the Enterprise electronic Starship. We’ve seen the outside of the ship’s hull, now let us examine the inner workings of the ship as we demo the electronics, featuring Captain Picard and authentic SFX from Star Trek the Next Generation. Read more and watch the video after the jump! (more…)
September 3, 2008 : Animation is My Middle Name
Animation makes everything better.
Especially when they are web banners for you! (more…)
July 16, 2008 : Guess Who’s Coming To San Diego
The best part of preparing for any big show is the gambling that we do on whether or not an item will make it there to show off for the first time. For instance, the Ultimate Quarter Scale Trek figures did not make Toy Fair… So now the current gamble is whether we will have some BSG Series 4 figures to show off in San Diego. My guess is yup. Stay tuned!
July 14, 2008 : SDCC is coming!
Preparation for the upcoming SDCC is almost done. I had to work on the large banners that will hang above the snack bar. They are huge. Working on files that big can be a little difficult since opening and saving the files take up a lot of time even if the changes are very small. Fortunately there were not too many big changes. We should be in good shape with the graphics for SDCC this year. The party stuff is mostly done as well. It seems like there was not as much as in previous years and we got it in a more timely fashion.
: SDCC hits the truck
Man, packing all of these prototypes for San Diego has been a joy! I’ll need to remember to bring a little extra glue this year for the prototypes…can’t have anyone losing their head!
July 10, 2008 : A Charming Cake Indeed!
I’m not sure how many of you are fans of “The Ace of Cakes” on Food Network, but if you love cake and your into art you should be watching it, plus it all goes down a few blocks from my old apartment. Baltimore caters to a special breed of cake consumers and Duff is there to hook them up with the wild, the wacky, and the wonderful! Ok, so enough about cake, a pool of drool is forming on my desk.
