December 19, 2008 : Ahnold sez: I’m BACK!

Yeah, if the title of this post is suitable for all ages it means DSTChuck edited me. That’s The Man keepin’ me down. Anyway, look what we’ve got in the works kiddies! Governor Arnold on his way to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at a new LA shopping mall. Heh, just kidding. Yup, we’re going after the T2 license and we’re using this as our calling card. Don’t worry if a few details seem off, he’s a work-in-progress. This guy came together in record time, thanks to the dedicated work of my freelance crew, so we could debut him at the Dallas Toy Fair in early October. Stay tuned for more updates!

December 10, 2008 : The Borg Bog

Dear Readers,

I spent the better part of the other day here trying to get our fog machine to work, why is it whenever I want to use something like that it is always broken, or missing a piece, or I have no idea how to use it in the first place! After a few hours of fooling around with it I finally got it working so that I could set up a borg shoot with DST-Matt. We wanted some cool pictures of the borg with dark, creepy lighting and fog. It looked like the borgs where either standing in a swamp bog or maybe had just put out an electrical fire with a few fire extinguishers. I think the shoot was successful, they are definitely interesting pictures, who knows where we might be able to use them! Well I am going to pass them a long and hopefully get a gallery up here on the site for you guys to enjoy.

Cough Cough*

DST-Jen

December 9, 2008 : I’m not throwing you anything!

I’ve got the whip AND the Idol. Ha!
Yes, here is the long-awaited Ultimate Quarter Scale Raiders of the Lost Ark “Classic” Indiana Jones figure. We received our first package samples and just had to tear one open and play with it. I hope you all will enjoy it as much as we did. Although truth be told, I won’t be playing with mine much, it just looks too cool standing there as a display piece. In fact, I’m starting to regret tearing open the box - it would have been great to display next to my unopened Darth Maul.

December 8, 2008 : Wolverine getting closer to the big screen…

…and your toy collection. Here is the approved paint for the movie Wolverine and his backalley dumpster base. Are you still puzzled by the base? OK, look at it this way - What type of business has a dumpster like that? Perhaps…a restaurant? Maybe, say… a Cajun restaurant? OK, any more of a hint than that and I’m getting fired, so this post ends here.

December 7, 2008 : A face only Natalie Portman could love

Yup, here it is, the final approved head for the Anakin Skywalker UQS figure. I still think this is one of the best outfits we’ve done in the line, so I can’t wait to get a chance to show you this head on the approved outfit (but you’ll just have to wait for it - haha).

December 6, 2008 : The man before the mask
