January 30, 2012 : Minimates Vehicle KITT Hits the Desert in New Photos!

k6
With Super Pursuit Mode KITT out in stores now as part of Minimates Vehicles Wave 3, we’ve been thrilled to see such an overwhelmingly positive response from not only casual Knight Rider fans, but also the die-hard Knight Rider fan community at large! Nick Nugent, author of the Knight Rider Companion, took a ride out to the dry El Mirage lake bed in California — where the show’s opening sequence was filmed — and took some great photos of SPM KITT and Michael Knight against a beautiful sunset. Check out the gallery here! Thanks for the photos, Nick!

SPM KITT and KARR are in comic shops and specialty stores now, and the Knight Rider Companion is available for purchase here! Get regular DST updates on Facebook and Twitter!

October 31, 2011 : Are You Ready for Your Vehicle to Become Knight Industries Property?

kitt_plate1

A report from the desk of DSTSchaff: “Since we’ve done replica license plates for Back to the Future and Ghostbusters, you should have been able to guess that it was only a matter of time before I came to you to talk about Knight Rider. Naturally, the first plate up will be the famous plate of the Knight Industries Two Thousand, a.k.a. KITT! As with all of our other plates, these will be durable metal, 1:1 scale with screw hole placement to allow for easy mounting to your vehicle, assuming your state laws permit such things. If the KITT plate does well, expect to see the plate for the diabolical KARR in the near future — I suggest that all of you buy both at your favorite comic shop, online retailer or specialty store. (Shameless attempt to boost sales: complete!)” Coming in 2012!

July 20, 2011 : SDCC Sneak Peek #2: Knight Rider’s KITT and KARR!

SDCC starts tonight, but we just couldn’t wait to show off some of the toys we’ll have on display. One of our big items? Our scale model of KITT from “Knight Rider,” complete with a 3 3/4 inch Michael Knight figure. How sweet is that? Stop by the booth (#2607) to check it out in person, as well as our Minimates version of KARR, with a 2-inch Garth Knight Minimate!
