November 28, 2008 : Sci-Fi Two-Packs Coming Soon
Our upcoming Battlestar Galactica and Stargate SG-1 action figure two-packs are nearing release and we’ve got the latest packaging pictures to prove it!
November 24, 2008 : Kirk is larger than life!

I am sure as many of you know from reading posts of past and seeing ads in previews the UQS Kirk is almost here! We have just finished up the packaging line for the UQS Star Trek Series, you probably got a look at Spock too in the gallery. We are following the new look for the Star Trek style guide and giving you a super sized window to view the super sized Kirk. At a whopping 19 inches this Kirk will tower over your regular figures like a giant, buff and awesome Shattner with a shrink ray. I picture him stomping amongst your regular figures laughing a deep guttural laugh and firing his shrink ray aimlessly, torn shirt optional of course. Okay, back to reality! He’s going to have sound so you will be able to try him threw the window, just in try me mode though so you have to buy him to get all the phrases (just a switch on his back). Pre-orders for this guy are a must because I think once he hits it’s going to be hard to find him, so you know what to do!
I think I’ve earned my pay for the week,

: Return to New Caprica!
Although, if you watch the show, I don’t know how much “returning to New Caprica” you’d want to do! Considering it was Cylon occupied and the humans had to flee…once again (widely known as the Second Exodus). (more…)
October 17, 2008 : Ultimate Quarter Scale Darth Maul; Ultimately finished.
Dear Readers,
I am not sure how many of you guys are actually here every day reading and keeping up with the new UQS line of Star Wars figures, but I am going to imagine it’s the first thing you do every morning before brushing your teeth. I will also picture all of you in bantha slippers and Jedi bath Robes, okay? Early this week you may have read about finishing up the packaging and having some issues with it. You may also remember me mentioning a bit of a surprise and leaving a big blank out of the posted picture as to keep you on the edge of your seat. Well sit on the edge no longer!!!
October 14, 2008 : Ultimate Quarter Scale Packaging
Dear Readers,
The UQS box is making a lot of headway this week. It has been through two rounds of corrections with Lucas and is looking like more and more of a possibility to get this to the factory this month which I believe would put us dead on for our schedule for the line. It’s very exciting to get these moving, for me at least because the sooner they get made the sooner I get mine! The box will have the Clone Wars style guide art, as we have gone over before, we are approving some special art work as well, that is top secret but will make the box a nice collector piece in itself. If you were wondering at all about any of the problems we were facing with the box itself, I did have a problem with the window size and the factory not thinking it would hold up in transit and the bottom of the box was not strong enough to hold the figure in, all those problems have been fixed and are looking perfect at this time, so YAY. go us!

August 29, 2008 : More Marvel Minimates comin’ atcha
Can you DST fans out there believe that we have made over 20 waves of Marvel Minimates? I sure can’t. If you had told me years ago there were even that many characters in the Marvel Universe I would have laughed in your face and made fun of you for being a grown up who read comic books. Well it is true, we are set to release series 23 and 24 on the Minimates loving public! These will be very exciting because they are the first to feature the windows on the front of the box. That’s right, you can see the Minimates before you buy them! This was a very exciting project for me because I got to do a lot of measuring and figuring to get the window in the right spot. I hope you enjoy them. I wouldn’t be surprised if we make it to wave 50!
August 25, 2008 : End of an Era
Dear Readers,
Well that’s it for Transformers for me for a while! I should be all caught up this time. I just finished Rumble and Frenzy up, who each come with a cassette creature (Ratbat and Ravage - you Transformers lovers know what I’m talking about). I shouldn’t have to get any more of these boxes ready until Ironhide, which should be coming out this year as well. Look for the Frenzy and Rumble boxes by the way, they both have extra bio information on them seeing as how they are really two characters in one!
NO MORE than meets the eye!

August 23, 2008 : Marvel Minimates Fanundrums
Have you ever tried to condense all the relevant information surrounding one of your favorite Marvel Comics character into a two-sentence blurb? It’s harder than you think! We’re finishing up the new-and-improved packaging designs for the upcoming Series 23 & 24 of our Marvel Minimates line, so I’ve been going over each character’s Wikipedia page with a fine-toothed comb. Here are my own geek-tastic rules for these mini-bios and some examples to help explain.
