December 19, 2008 : Ahnold sez: I’m BACK!
Yeah, if the title of this post is suitable for all ages it means DSTChuck edited me. That’s The Man keepin’ me down. Anyway, look what we’ve got in the works kiddies! Governor Arnold on his way to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at a new LA shopping mall. Heh, just kidding. Yup, we’re going after the T2 license and we’re using this as our calling card. Don’t worry if a few details seem off, he’s a work-in-progress. This guy came together in record time, thanks to the dedicated work of my freelance crew, so we could debut him at the Dallas Toy Fair in early October. Stay tuned for more updates!
December 7, 2008 : A face only Natalie Portman could love
Yup, here it is, the final approved head for the Anakin Skywalker UQS figure. I still think this is one of the best outfits we’ve done in the line, so I can’t wait to get a chance to show you this head on the approved outfit (but you’ll just have to wait for it - haha).
December 6, 2008 : The man before the mask
I give to you - the approved UQS head sculpt for Episode 3’s Anakin Skywalker. Not much to say beyond that. Stay tuned for paint.
November 21, 2008 : Fits like a glove - eventually
The Episode 3 Anakin Skywalker glove was recently revised and, in doing so, I had to cast another copy in hard wax after my first attempt to rework the original sculpt failed. (more…)
: Two Jedi get a head in the world

Oh, that was a bad pun, wasn’t it? Eh. The point is, I just got the preliminary castings of the heads for Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi (both from Revenge of the Sith). (more…)
November 13, 2008 : Mace is here!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - no matter what you think of the films or the character, EVERYONE must buy the UQS Mace Windu because no one can live with themselves if they miss an opportunity to have a 19″ talking Samuel L. Jackson action figure. And, for your viewing pleasure, here he is: 100% approved-by-Lucas. Accessories were tough to come up with, so in addition to the extra hands I throw in for fun poses, Mace will have the Jedi Testing Screen he used on little Anakin in Episode 1.
November 12, 2008 : Mace Windu’s Hong Kong Adventure
Oh yeah! Mace Windu is 100% complete and approved by Lucas and is on his way to the factory. In the coming weeks I will be reviewing various samples to make sure what comes off the line looks like the picture below. BooYah!
: Bantha’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.
Yeah, I’m not going to screw this moment up with a bunch of words. Just look, and enjoy. Now, look to the future when you are finally going to have a 19″ talking Samuel L. Jackson figure. Once this paint is approved, he is off to the factory and then he’ll be in your hands.
October 3, 2008 : Some Posters for the Masses
Dear Readers,
Just finishing up some posters today for some of your favorite local retailers. Every once in a while when we get the urge to show you guys what’s coming and how great an item is we get some posters done up for the comic book stores that sell our wares. There has been a ton of interest in the UQS Star Wars figures, from you and the retailers, so we whipped some up for their stores so when you go in to order all your plastic crack you can check out the goods. Here is a small sample of what some of these posters might look like, lots of insets and pictures for you to gaze upon and drool over.

September 29, 2008 : Ultimate Quarter Scale, it’s not just for Star Wars!
Hi Readers,
I have been busy with lots of little stuff lately, nothing worthy of your fanatical eyes. Until today that is… I finally got time to get started on the Ultimate Quarter Scale Spock for this month’s Previews! I photographed him a while back and I have started clipping and cleaning (see my past blogs to find out what this means) him for the ad and his many appearances on the internet.
